Arthur Perry, son of Arthur Latham Perry and Mary Brown Smedley Perry, was born around 1865. He did not follow in the footsteps of his brothers in graduating from Williams College, but left during his sophomore year to begin work as a reporter for the Springfield Union. Later he worked as a bank clerk, salesman, general agent and superintendent, and eventually went to work with his brother, Walter, in Connecticut. He retired in 1933 and made a permanent home in Mystic, Connecticut, where he was chairman of the school committee. He married Lucy Smedley, his cousin, and had two daughters: Mrs. Augustus Harris and Mrs. Donald Maxon. Arthur Perry died September 26, 1938.
